When a logistics client had questions about whether to invest in an unused warehouse, Terracon facilities experts assessed the building using ground-penetrating radar (GPR) and light detection and ranging (LiDAR) to provide 2D and 3D models. Both methods detected deflection in the wall panels, with possible water ponding on the roof above. Providing these two data sets in the same scope of work eliminated the need (and cost) of additional testing and gave the client a holistic view of the challenges to help them make informed decisions.
